Rock Band 2 News.
It's been officially announced by Harmonix (via their
forums) that you will be able to export almost all the songs from Rock
Band into Rock Band 2 for the low price of $5 (400 MSP). As previously
announced, there were licensing issues that prevented songs from being
exported. Thankfully the list is small.
- "Paranoid" - Black Sabbath
- "Run to the Hills" - Iron Maiden
- "Enter Sandman" - Metallica
- "Through the Monsoon" - Tokio Hotel (European release of RB only
X3F also has a walkthrough video up showing the export process. The video can be seen here. It
seems you could get almost all the songs for $5 from a rental of Rock
Band, which is refreshingly beneficial for the consumer. No
indication/mention of restrictions.
